Makar Gin
Double Award Win At ISC
Friday 06th April 2018
We’re delighted to pick up two Silver Medals at the infamously competitive International Spirits Challenge.
Competing against hundreds of competitors in a scrupulous blind assessment from an experienced panel of specialist judges, Makar Oak Aged Gin won Silver in the ‘Gin Barrell Aged’ category and Makar Original Dry Gin won silver in the ‘super premium distilled gin’ category.
Seen as one of the years' premiere spirits competitions, The International Spirits Challenge is a globally renowned event. Brands from across the world compete to win an award and be recognised as a spirit of outstanding quality.
Mike Hayward, our Marketing Director, commented: "We are thrilled to once again pick up an award from the ISC. It is a testament to the quality of our product and it is thrilling to see us hold our own against such esteemed competition from around the world."
The award win marks the latest success in a year already littered with award wins, including The Glasgow Distillery being named as 'Scottish Gin Distillery of the Year' at the Berlin International Spirits Competition and also picking up the highest honour for our Makar Oak Aged Gin at the same event.
Other award wins include two bronze awards at the London Spirits Competition and a Silver Medal at the World Gin Awards.
May the award wins continue!
