TWO MAKAR EXPRESSIONS JOIN THE FAMILY AT WORLD DUTY FREE
We are delighted to announce that Makar Mulberry Cask Aged Gin and the latest addition to the award-winning Makar range, Makar Cherry Gin, have joined the family in World Duty Free (WDF) stores throughout Scotland's airports.

Makar Mulberry Aged Gin and Makar Cherry Gin represents another cornerstone in the in a continued partnership between Glasgow Distillery and World Duty Free (WDF)

Building on the success of Makar Oak Aged Gin which was the first cask-aged gin to be sold in Scottish airports in late 2017, we are delighted that WDF have now added Makar Mulberry Aged Gin to their portfolio.

Both of our award-winning cask aged variants have won high acclaim at every major spirit competition as consumers seek out new botanical flavour combinations, with Makar Oak being named Scotland’s ‘Cask Aged Gin of the Year’ at the Scottish Gin Awards 2017 and receiving the highly coveted Master of Gin award at the Global Spirit Masters. Moreover, our Makar Mulberry Aged Gin was also named 'Cask Aged Gin of the Year' at the Scottish Gin Awards 2018, in a fast growing and competitive category.

We are equally as excited that our recently launched Makar Cherry Gin will also join our other expressions in WDF. Makar Cherry has been created by infusing ripe, seasonal fresh cherries and a sprinkling of pink peppercorn in Makar’s Original Dry Gin, before being pressed to release maximum flavour. Makar Cherry Gin balances the traditional bold juniper-forward notes that Makar is well known for, with delicious richness from the ripe cherries, accompanied by a hint of subtle spice from the pink peppercorns on the finish.
