Prometheus Wins At International Spirits Challenge

We're delighted to reveal that Prometheus 28 Year Old has picked up the Silver Award at the prestigious International Spirits Competition.

Prometheus 28 Year Old, which was launched on the 10th of April, is a limited-edition Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky. The release, limited to only 888 individually numbered bottles, has proven hugely popular with whisky experts and enthusiasts worldwide. The exact distillery of origin remains a tightly guarded secret and is the source of much debate and interest.

Prometheus 28 Year Old is the latest release in the Prometheus range, and looks set to follow in the footsteps of its award-winning predecessors. Last year, Prometheus 27 was awarded a highly coveted double gold medal at the prestigious San Francisco Spirits Competition. Prometheus 26 also claimed the gold award in the category for ‘Best Single Malt over 20 Years Old’ at the International Whisky Competition in Chicago in 2016.

Liam Hughes, our CEO, said: "The addition of a Silver Award from the International Spirits Competition is a true testament to the continued quality of the Prometheus range. Winning any award at the ISC is an impressive achievement, and we are delighted to hear that Prometheus 28 Year Old was so highly regarded by the panel of expert judges during their blind tasting. There are only a few bottles of Prometheus 28 Year Old left for sale, and this award win will absolutely attract some additional interest."

Prometheus 28-year-old is a wonderfully balanced whisky, on the nose it offers hints of citrus with red apple and pear, leading to biscuit caramel and warming spice. To taste, sweet malt, raisins and walnuts balanced by savoury oak with subtle dark fruit, leading to a delicate finish with smoke and orange spice.

Each bottle is individually numbered and bottled at cask strength. Purchase a bottle of Prometheus 28 here, or contact us for more information.
