Three new Limited Edition Banditti Club Rums
Thursday 05th September 2024We're very happy to announce that we are expanding our portfolio of experimental spirits with three limited-edition Banditti Club Rums: Barrel Aged Golden Rum, Pedro Ximenez Sherry Cask Finish, and Madeira Wine Cask Finish.
These new releases feature our award-winning Banditti Club Rum at its core, heightened with delicious notes of dark chocolate, espresso and candied peel in the Pedro Ximenez Sherry cask finish, notes of rich fruit cake, banana, gingerbread and caramel in the Madeira Wine cask finish and salted caramel, poached pear, honeycomb and freshly cut grass in the Barrel Aged Golden Rum, which is fully matured in virgin oak casks.
Taking its name from a group of spirited individuals who gathered in Glasgow's public houses in the early 19th century, enjoying nights filled with singing, eating and music, Banditti Club Rum has proved popular with our customers since it first launched in 2018.
Crafted in Glasgow, Banditti Club is made from freshly pressed sugar cane juice on the Island of Madeira, which is then aged in oak casks. The core range Banditti Glasgow Spiced Rum is infused with a blend of fresh tropical fruit and exotic spices, including pineapple, orange, cacao and allspice.
The latest limited edition trio are all non-spiced rums that have been made from a naturally fermented base, and join our previous Banditti Club limited editions; Banditti Club Port Cask Finish and Banditti Smoky Rogues.
Banditti Club Barrel Aged Gold Rum, 52.1% ABV, 659 Bottles
A naturally produced spirit of the finest quality, this sipping rum is made from fresh sugar cane juice that has been naturally fermented and distilled in Madeira before ageing in Glasgow for three years in virgin oak barrels. Brilliantly fresh, smooth and golden in colour, best enjoyed neat or over ice.
Banditti Club Pedro Ximenez Cask Finish, 55% ABV, 504 Bottles
Aged for three years in heavy char virgin American white oak before a six month finish in a first fill Pedro Ximenez sherry cask. Made for sipping, with notes of dark chocolate, espresso, black cardamom, candied orange zest and dark fruits.
Banditti Club Madeira Wine Cask Finish, 54.6% ABV, 886 BottlesAged for three years in heavy char virgin American white oak before an 11 month finish first fill Madeira wine casks. Made for sipping, with notes of rich fruit cake, apricot, banana, gingerbread and caramel.
